A connected home, from room to garden.

A proposal to remodel and extend a semi-detached house in Richmond upon Thames. The design combines a converted garage, a more connected ground floor, a garden-facing kitchen and dining extension, and additional space at first-floor and roof level.

The interior scheme pairs green cabinetry and pale stone with timber joinery, seating in the bay window and carefully framed connections between rooms. Bedroom and bathroom studies extend the material palette upstairs. Outside, matching brickwork, pale render and roof tiles maintain continuity with the house; original plans and sections explain how the additions connect with the retained rooms.
